Sporadicity

Pardon my blog being a bit sporadic at the moment; I’m still steering the boat through the waters after my dad’s triple bypass and my mom’s cancer procedure. Lots of follow ups. Plus I have got to find some work. I believe my resume is still up at https://kiplange.com/resume.html. Yeah, I know, it’s cruddy, but I’ve been contracting for a good long while now, portfolio and references available, etc. Anyway, I have to try to harness some of random energy I dump onto the Internet and turn it into more cash. I am working on that, trust me. And I don’t need much. Just some breathing room, that’s all. God *damned* crap economy. Thank you, POTUS and The Keynesian Kops. I’ll get there despite you.

P.S. Address on the resume is messed up. Will fix it at some point. Hasn’t gotten me anything in years, anyway. *shrug*

Feral Cortex 2013

Well, there. It seems increasingly evident that the current White House administration is, at best, completely incompetent in using power. Or — isn’t so subtle misusing it. This is the sort of thing that is birthed by Obama’s perpetual campaign mode…The Neverending Charm Offensive, if you will.

But, so far, the administration has been able to come out somewhat weakened but still on top. I don’t know about this one. And by “this one” I mean the combo of IRS and Benghazi. Benghazi is a long-leaking affair that simmers; the IRS scandal, however, has gone whacko the first couple of days. At the very least, you have to say things have gone south for the Obama administration this week. And for Obama himself. They clearly don’t have a handle on this.

The thing about the IRS, Mr. President, is that the IRS pisses everybody off, and you decide to let it oversee Obamacare…and then this breaks? Hey, Obama, “your” idol Lincoln (cough *Republican* cough) used to say — you can fool some o’ the people all o’ the time, all of them some o’ the time, but not all o’ them all o’ the time. Shame on you!

This noxious cloud you have created is the very antithesis of “transparency” in government, Mr. President, I am sorry to say. And fairness. We, the people, are not allowed to fuck with the IRS. They can seriously screw our lives over. I faithfully do not fuck with the IRS. And now, you’re telling me that I might be under closer scrutiny because I donated to the GOP presidential candidate?

That, my friend, is an “enemies list”.

Nobody likes an “enemies” list except total assholes. And frankly, I should be under less scrutiny, because, according to my political beliefs, you render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s. I’ll give you my money. I will abide by the law. I don’t think I even have a speeding ticket, okay? Or parking ticket. I’m not kidding. In return, I ask that you not pry into affairs or opinions that are my own and that in no way harm anyone. Is that too much to ask? You know, the general, “I’ll be over here doing my own thing, not bothering you, if I am, just tap me on the shoulder and mention it politely” philosophy?

The one where I keep my nose clean, because, unlike you people, if I don’t — I can’t PLEAD STUPID?

Obama’s Second-Term Trainwreck

Okay, I don’t have a ton of time here, so let’s keep it brief.

We’ve got the AP, IRS, and Benghazi scandals breaking (well, Benghazi was around, but the media, ‘cept Fox, swept it under the carpet obediently — now they can’t ignore it). See, my friends? Sometimes patience is a virtue. This is a President who is misusing power. His entire administration. You think they give a rat’s ass about you? Little old middle-class you? I’m not saying Mitt Romney would have actively cared more (I happen to think he would have, but that’s just me), but, I mean, let’s take a look at a very good piece originally from National Review talking about how Obama is screwing young people with the Affordable Care Act:

Obama’s War on the Young

And Obamacare is pretty much all I need to know about Obama. He knew public sentiment on the issue. He knew the public was saying, “Okay, we elected you, but we expected that some of that stuff you were talking about was bullshit. Like grabbing 1/6-1/7th of the U.S. economy and making a brand spanking new entitlement program. Hold up…”. They even went so far as to pry Ted Kennedy’s seat away in Massachussetts from the claws of the Dems with Brown touting himself as the “51st vote against” Obamacare. Thus supposedly stopping him. No, instead, the POTUS, aided by other hard-left ideologues, used arcane budget procedures NEVER intended for this sort of huge legislation to ram the damn mess through.

I warned you before he was elected; I warned you last election; I will continue to warn you. Obama is a hard-left ideologue. I don’t want to stick a stupid label like “Socialist” on him, as the umbrage of the word is simply too large, but yes he has some socialist tendencies. He also has some capitalist tendencies — believe it or not. But he is a hard-left ideologue who believes he is better than you at running your own life (which is sort of redundant).

The point I’m trying to make is, the scandals come to bear on that. This is an arrogant man. A man Sarkozy (France) described as “arrogant and naive”. Now, naivety is one thing. But couple with arrogance? It means you’re naive — and you’ll never learn. The scandals are the outpouring of this admin’s attitude — its “demons from the id”, if you want to go Freudian/Forbidden Planet — towards the country.

Um, what else? Can’t think of anything. Feral Cortex out.

(dark lady 2)

Gracefully tensed and
easy under pressure she moves

So slow as to assuredly
…but no, we must

Catch our breath, or hurriedly
Feel the tension of her dreams
drowning us as we
      drowning me as I

…attempt to capture the moment,

and preserve it for it serves to
nullify my identity;

And am I her and she me

Through eons unutterably, unshakably
the same for the place that starts
as you toss headlong your heart
the rhythm continues;

For She is Mercy;

And for that, she shall be mine.

Why I’m not up in arms over the bombing (and jumping on the hype) — Boston Bombings

You may have noticed that while I am from Boston (well, Wellesley, then Cape Cod, and points in-between) — look, people from MA say they’re “from Boston” if they’re from around Boston because the point is, we’re Massholes…people who live in Boston will say, “I’m from the North End”, or “I’m from Southie”, or “I live/d in Boston okay? and Massholes stick together — not like you fakers out on the Left Coast — no offense, props to my people there, shout out to you, sorry, I’m just ranting, painting with a really broad brush.

Anyway, I put this up on FaceBook shouting at my suburban white liberal friends, but these are some of my thoughts on the Boston Bombings, here you go, opinion knowledge bomb incoming.

I just heard someone on the phone say something about…”…she just couldn’t talk to me because she was so upset about the bombings.” (two days ago?) Listen. BostonProud BostonStrong all of that but it’s not a catchphrase or anything, that’s why I haven’t been posting a lot about it. Because I’m also worried you’re all going to do a 9/11 repeat — be REALLY concerned for a few months and then, like, some pop star dies, and that takes over the news, and you just…forget. I said that about 9/11. I didn’t forget about 9/11 and I’ve been warning you guys about it ever since then (the Global Caliphate, sharia law, and all that). You need to WATCH the terrorist videos. If you don’t trust the translations, get an Arab-speaking friend to come over and translate directly. But the point is I’m not making a big deal out of it because horrible stuff goes on EVERY DAY, ask any LE officer (ask Josh Bohm the sh-t he sees EVERY DAY — from so-called AMERICAN “CITIZENS”…sorry to ping you Josh but I’m ranting here, *cough*. So I’m with you, guys, but — are you gonna get all weepy again for a few months and then forget again? Cuz if so, seriously, don’t come crying back to me (or Josh or anyone in LE or the government — even Obama, Obama does half of what he does because YOU voted for it, and you know I’m no Obama fan but the man is POTUS so *show some class and respect for the office, he’s the LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD, make fun of him as a MAN, never as a PRESIDENT, you understand the difference?*)

Okay, BostonProud BostonStrong We Shall Never Forget all that, whatever, but I remember all the flag stickers after 9/11 (I didn’t have one — I don’t NEED ONE TO REMIND ME WHAT COUNTRY I’M IN — if you wanna put something like that up, fine, but you LIVE it, too, okay? ‘merica ain’t a fucking BUMPER STICKER, okay?). And I’m out to see my dad. Just fucking listen to me, okay? I’m smarter than you, and you know it (except there’s a select few close to/above/just below my level of intelligence to whom I will listen and you know who you are).

Doctor Who — A Doctor Snippet Speech — Is This World Protected?

Okay, first off, new category, since it deserve it: Doctor Who.

Next up, the scene from Doctor Who just is useful in explaining my (and a lot of other Whovians’…and generally civilized people’s) opinion of the world. Not just the US, where I’m writing from, but everywhere. Cuz I’d probably change it to, “The Kipper” and throw in something about individual freedom. Or something. I dunno. I’d just like to talk to a giant eyeball from outer space like this and address it in this manner because, much like The Doctor, I have nothing. To. Lose. 😉 (that’s from another speech) Hey, seriously, if I’m happy now, imagine how much happier I’ll be if I make a little more money here. Anyway, enjoy the speech from The Eleventh Hour, the first with the Eleventh Doctor — remember, this is his regeneration, which is why he’s throwing off the ties (he’s choosing one). And why he likes fishsticks and custard. Right, oy, off you go then.

Me doing a blurry Doctor Who pose

Right, so, here’s me — hopefully you notice I’ve dropped all the weight (and by the way, I didn’t really even try to diet — drink coffee, as it is an appetite depressant, and don’t snack, and just cut calories) doing a blurry Doctor Who pose thing. Because Doctor Who is cool (bow ties are cool…”Matt Smith is really growing on me…”…I’ll take “Things Whovians Say” for $200, Alex…). Mad props to my mom because I dunno what it is but even I can’t take a non-blurry photo with my iPhone, and she has some motor control problems (not too bad for her age, though, I’ll tell ya!) for taking the picture. Anyway…One more, just one more — is this world protected? Hello. I’m The Doctor. Basically…run.”

I’ll just sonic it.

…and Contact Form Back Up with CAPTCHA

Okay, I have put the contact form back up with a basic CAPTCHA function; hopefully this will solve the spamming problem. If not, down it goes again.

Contact Form temporarily disabled

Sorry, folks, someone’s trying to take advantage of my contact form. I think it’s a certain prick who once had a healthy cocaine habit — if he doesn’t stop, I’ll let you know his name — and I’ve got an IP sniffer on him now, so I can mail his ISP and inform them he’s violating his terms of service. I’ll put one back up with a CAPTCHA form when I get a chance. Y’all know where to find me, anyway, don’t worry. 😉
