Okay, I’ve been using this a lot myself but haven’t gone through the trouble of putting it up for other people.
If you have a game that takes an Xbox 360 controller, and you have a Logitech Rumblepad 2, you’re going to need an Xbox 360 controller emulator.
Here’s a great one. Download it from kiplange.com here:
Now, to get it to work, put the files (you don’t need to put the src folder or the test program in, though) in the directory where the game you want to play is installed. It should work perfectly. I’ve used this with tons of games and had no problem whatsoever.
Aaah great, you saved me with this great emulator. tnx a bunch m8
Happy I could help! There’s an updated version out but this one works so why muck with it, right?
hi, i got rumblepad2, i’ve played Halo 2 on my PC, i no need use emulator for xbox360, maybe there are other games u can tell, that uses only xbox controler, for a quick test
A few games I can think of off the top of my head that seemed to need a 360 emulator are: The Saboteur, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mafia II…I’m forgetting a few recent ones, I know. If the Rumblepad 2 works fine without an emulator, there’s no reason to bother with one, obviously. It’s only if, in the game you’re playing, you’re having trouble getting the controller to respond — then the emulator will make things right for you 99% of the time, because almost every PC game that could use a controller (oh, wait, another one is Just Cause 2) is able to use a 360 controller. Believe me, I don’t like it myself; I’m a PS3 guy (there’s actually an emulator out there to use your Dualshock controller on a PC, but it’s not very good…and you can’t do it wirelessly…so I never bothered posting about it).
hey this should be sweet as man the rumblepad is good
Sorry I took so long to put up your post (you wouldn’t believe how many spam comments I get). Anyway, yeah, I like the Rumblepad a lot myself. Although I wish there was a way you could put it in sleep mode to save battery power. Anyway, the emulator should help you a lot, so happy gaming, bro!
Thank you very much, works perfectly with my Logitech Rumblepad2
hey kip, very useful post. Many Thanks! I don’t have a rumblepad but I have another controller
Here’s what it is :-

With your help I got my controller to respond while trying to play “Just Cause 2″ on my PC. But all the buttons aren’t configured properly, the
X-Y axis is working on the D-pad as well as the joystick 1, same for buttons, the buttons are working normally and same buttons function is repeating on joystick 2.
I couldn’t find a way to configure these buttons…can you please help ???
I’d really appreciate it …thanks!
Okay, I can give you two possible avenues. First, you can go into x360ce.ini and edit the button configurations from there. Or you can download the NEW version of the controller emulator, which is a program that generates the x_input DLL and the .ini file customized, after you run the program (just be sure to put the two files it creates in the correct folder). I’m making the new download available here: http://kiplange.com/x360ce.exe. Good luck!
